Nick Sweet, a noted actor and director, has a Master’s degree from Antioch College and has taught theatre arts as an adjunct faculty member at East Texas Baptist University. He is on artists-in-residence programs in Texas and Arkansas and has conducted numerous residencies at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf, where he recently wrote their centennial play, In Our Own Words. Nick’s exciting residencies involve story dramatization, improvisation and character analysis. Students will participate in theatre games that focus on expressing emotions both verbally and non-verbally and develop characters for an original piece written as a class. As a result of a residency with Nick, students will flourish through the collaboration and creativity that is “theatre arts”.
