Sam McMichael has a Bachelor in Agronomy from Oklahoma State University and in education from Cameron University. His lighthearted residencies are noted for incorporating folktales and fairytales to creative writing, history, and speech learning objectives. He draws from stories gathered from his own experience and/or collected from elders to bring a fresh perspective to learning. Students will build vocabulary and writing skills while literature comes to life in the classroom.

Arts Learning Goals:

  • Improve listening skills
  • Increase attention to detail
  • Understand cultural heritage and the oral tradition
