Caryn Harper, a talented equestrian artist, has an associate degree in art and is currently completing a Bachelor in Art Education. She has accomplished a variety of subject matter in her drawings and paintings; her love for horses is apparent in her highly skilled paintings, watercolors, and pastel portrait of horses. She is a founding member of the Red River Art Gallery in Gainsville, Texas established in 1997. She has three years experience teaching art in school, where she discovered the importance of art in the classroom and how it can strengthen students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills. In a typical residency with Caryn, the elements and principals of art will be learned in a fun and creative way, while students learn different methods and techniques including mixing color in painting and drawing as seeing.
