Debbie Langston a talented artist and teaching artist, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Oklahoma. Her spirited residencies vary according to the goals and objectives of each site, with activities designed to fit the situation and curriculum. In an accepting learning atmosphere, students work on mask making, papermaking, drawing or painting from specific art styles in history.

Arts Learning Goals:

  • Understand basic principles of art (line, shape, form, color, texture, space)
  • Explore elements of design (balance, contrast, rhythm, movement, pattern, and emphasis) through art making
  • Develop creative problem solving skills in art
