Bio:
Maria Elena Ruffin, a spirited and imaginative artist, attended School of the Arts at the University of Mexico and has taught art to children in Mexico, Oklahoma City and Norman. Her invigorating residencies allow students to explore the physics of color; discover famous artists and their masterpieces as well as, media communication of Mexican folk art. Students will use basic art process such as drawing and painting to make colorful works of art on Masonite or large canvas. She also does work in large scale to work in a mural. Maria is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish.
