Suzanne Thomas is a talented and innovative artist with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Fine Art form Southern Illinois University. Suzanne’s residencies introduce students to the basic elements of art. They might use geometric shapes to create drawings and paintings while exploring basic color theory. Suzanne provides a wide range of visual art activities from which to choose, and guides students from the initial design to a completed work of art.

Arts Learning Goals:

  • Learn basic art vocabulary
  • Learn color mixing
  • Understand basic elements of art and principles of design
  • Experience a variety of mediums and techniques in art making
  • Work in either two- or three-dimensional art processes
  • Explore art history (Western and non-Western)
