Ground Writing by David Roberts

The Artwork

This black painted steel work is a visual representation of its title, Ground Writing. Like ink from a pen, the steel creates a curving, three-dimensional line in from the ground and through the air. The marking seems to change depending upon the angle in which the viewer examines this sculpture. The artwork is not representative of any particular letter, rather its lines seem to exude character much like that of cursive writing.
