Conference Sessions for Arts & Cultural Organizations
Even in the best of economic times, survival, stability, and success are challenging goals for many nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. But with persistent economic uncertainty seemingly the new norm, organizations are increasingly citing the impact they are feeling from hesitant funders and program sponsors. Add in three years of cuts to public funding for the arts via the Oklahoma Arts Council budget, and cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts, and the challenges mount for organizations serving their communities through the arts.
Several sessions being offered during the 2011 Oklahoma Arts Conference aim to equip and sustain arts and cultural organizations amid ongoing uncertainty. Sessions focused on fundraising, informing and influencing elected officials, partnerships, and marketing will help you navigate the new economic reality:
