ARPA Grants for Oklahoma Arts Organizations
Pandemic Relief Funding
Designed to support the retention of jobs and to stabilize nonprofit arts organizations and arts programming throughout the state in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARPA Grants for Oklahoma Arts Organizations are one-time reimbursement grants made possible by federal funding provided through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 and distributed by the National Endowment for the Arts to the Oklahoma Arts Council as its state partner.

July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022 (Grant Period FY2022)
Grant Amount
Arts-focused organizations that offer arts programming are eligible for reimbursement funding based on their current full operating budget (not counting capital expenditures and grants or other financial assistance to organizations or individuals, capped at the amounts shown below).
Budget range with maximum award
$5 million and above = up to $14,000
$1 million to $4,999,999 = up to $12,000
$500,000 to $999,999 = up to $10,000
$250,000 to $499,999 = up to $8,000
$100,000 to $249,999 = up to $6,000
$75,000 to $99,999 = up to $4,000
$25,000 to $74,999 = up to $2,000
$10,000 to $24,999 = up to $1,000
Deadline to Request Grant System Access
April 15, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time
New applicant organizations and organizations that have not applied for Oklahoma Arts Council funding within the past three years must request grant system access and complete eligibility verification by this deadline. The Oklahoma Arts Council is required to confirm applicant organization’s eligibility to apply for grant funding through this process.

Who Can Apply?
- Arts-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations incorporated in the State of Oklahoma as a Domestic Not for Profit Corporation
- In good standing with the IRS (Organizations that have had their IRS status revoked are not eligible for Oklahoma Arts Council grant support. It is the organization’s responsibility to ensure that its status is current at the time of the application and throughout the life of the award.)
- In good standing with the State of Oklahoma
- Registered with a UEI/DUNS number and eligible to receive federal support (organizations cannot be listed under the SAM Exclusions federal debarred or suspended list)
- Organizations must directly offerarts programming to their community
What Expenses Are Allowable?
Funding from this grant can be used toward the reimbursement of arts-related expenses such as salary support, fees and stipends for artists and contracts, facility costs such as rent and utilities, health and safety supplies, and marketing costs made between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Step 1: If your organization has not applied for an Oklahoma Arts Council grant within the past three years, please request grant system access and complete eligibility verification by the April 15, 2022, deadline. Oklahoma Arts Council is required to confirm applicant organization’s eligibility to apply for grant funding through this process. Once you have access, you can log in and apply for a grant. If you have questions about logging in, please contact our grants office at (405) 521-2040 or grants@arts.ok.gov.
Step 2: Once your organization has access to the grant system, your organization’s Grant Contact can log on and complete an application. Submit the application by the May 31, 2022, deadline.
