"Promise in the Road Ahead"

Jennifer Reeder
Jennifer Reeder, is a proud member of the Caddo Nation and a resident of Moore. Her ancestors originally inhabited regions of east Texas, southern Arkansas, western Louisiana, and southeastern Oklahoma. As an artist, Reeder's work embodies a modern interpretation of Caddo culture, history, and beliefs. She specializes in fusing contemporary materials with natural elements like bone, shells, and semi-precious stones, mirroring the resources of her ancestors before European trade influence. Her creations seamlessly blend tradition with modern Native fashion trends. Reeder passionately embraces the responsibility of safeguarding her tribal legacy and passing it down, inspired by the dedication of her grandparents and other family members. Just as they imparted their wisdom to her, she endeavors to do the same for future generations, ensuring the enduring vibrancy of Caddo culture.
